MEET JENNI
I first met Jenni and her mate Hubie in April 2026, and they have names because I saw them so often. They are a beautiful pair and have called a quiet area of Jordan Lake home for several years. I am not sure how many successful Eaglets they have raised. Fortunately, I know and witnessed their beautiful fledgling from 2026!
Jenni and Hubie offered many wonderful photo opportunities. This was only about a month after I purchased my camera, and (honestly) I missed more photos than I captured. Still, I loved every minute and they deserve all the credit for teaching me how to photograph Bald Eagles.
Many of my mornings in April and May started with them perched in their favorite perch tree. They would often delight me with their chortles, and they ocassionally warned strangers to back off when they were too close to the nest. They have not been easy to find over the past couple of months, and they are likely out and about enjoying a vacation before the next breeding season. I sure hope to see them again soon!
